Description

Join us for a creative and inspiring lesson where we'll explore the art of Free Expression using a frame as a container. While not part of the traditional Ohara curriculum, this lesson offers an exciting opportunity to apply the principles you've learned so far in an unconventional and artistic way. The class begins with a brief overview of key design concepts specific to using frames, highlighting how to adapt your skills to this unique container. Joe will demonstrate an arrangement using a frame, providing tips and inspiration before guiding you to create your own personalized masterpiece. Please note: The flowers shown in the photos are examples only. A limited number of frames like the ones pictured are available for purchase in advance, as part of your class registration. Alternatively, you can build your container using a simple frame, a kenzan placed in a water-holding container, and your imagination. Expand your creativity and elevate your Ikebana practice with this innovative and hands-on lesson

Options

-There are 5 different options to choose from:

(1) You bring your own container. It should be a very simple frame (i.e., not ornate) and be able to sit on the table. Behind it, place your kenzan in a small container that will hold water (i.e., sardine can, etc.). You must bring the frame, a suitable kenzan, and a container for the kenzan. Call Joe if you have questions about what will work best.

(2) You can borrow a frame. There are a very limited number of frames available to borrow.
